Key engineering
Under the hood
Deliberately no application: a prerendered site over a design system with the brand as a swappable layer, built to answer a product question rather than to run.
None at runtime. Content and locales are data at build time.
Static output per locale on edge hosting, with no server runtime to operate or pay for.
Close to none by construction, which was the point. The risk this build existed to manage was commercial rather than operational — finding out whether the product deserved a year before spending one.

What it took
- Research came before design. The category’s proven layout patterns were studied first, then every asset, illustration and line of copy written from scratch for this brand.
- Deliberately static. Every locale and legal page prerendered to HTML, so the whole site runs at the edge with no runtime to operate or pay for.
- The point was the decision, not the code. Enough product and brand definition to price the real build and judge the market — the cheapest way to find out whether a product deserves a year.
